Barbells can feel intimidating if you've never used one. Barbell Basics is a small-group course that teaches you how to squat, bench press and deadlift safely and confidently — from scratch.

No experience needed. No judgment. Just solid coaching in a gym that takes strength training seriously.

What you'll learn

Over 6 weeks you'll build a foundation in the three fundamental barbell movements:

Squat — develop lower body strength, mobility and control under the bar.

Bench Press — build upper body strength with proper technique and setup.

Deadlift — learn one of the most effective full-body strength exercises there is.

Every session is coached. You'll get hands-on feedback, progress at your own pace, and leave with the skills and confidence to keep training independently.

6 weeks | 12 sessions | Small groups (max 6-8 people) Two sessions per week | Monday & Thursday | 7pm - 8:15pm Location: Phenom Gym, Unit 6 Monahan Road, Cork Next course starts: May 11th
